About the Event

Virtual event on Queens Public Library Facebook Page

In honor of See Us, Support Us month and in partnership with Councilmember Danny Dromm and the Osborne Association, the Queens Public Library presents a special virtual children’s reading circle with Emily Ridge Gallagher, author of Sing, Sing, Midnight!

The picture book is about Maya, who has a question for her father who is incarcerated at Sing Sing Correctional Facility in New York, “Who takes care of you?” Sing, Sing, Midnight! celebrates finding your voice, singing out loud, taking care of one another, and family.

We encourage all children to join especially those who have experienced parental incarceration. A Q & A with the author will follow the reading.
