About the event

We're here to break the silence and end the stigma surrounding the incarceration of our parents. Let’s come together and support one another!

Join us to hear from members of the See Us, Support Us Youth Team as they share how the stigma of having an incarcerated parent affects young people’s lives. They’ll identify actionable steps to heal and work toward ending this stigma. Joining them will be Derrell Frazier, Policy Entrepreneur at Next 100, who focuses on narrative change for youth impacted by the criminal legal system, and Emani Davis, founder of The Omowale Project, a nonprofit supporting social justice leaders with sustainable individual and community care.

If you’ve experienced the incarceration of a parent, this is a space to learn, share, and push back against stigma together. We invite anyone who is passionate about ending the stigma faced by children of incarcerated parents to join us.
